Original Graffiti

These 2m x 2m stretched canvas features two preliminary works—Where’s the Line Between Us? and Is There a Difference?—created as test pieces to experiment with the interaction between spray paint and oil on canvas. Focused solely on graffiti-style text without additional imagery, these studies allowed for exploration of layering techniques, color contrast, and texture blending. Serving as foundational experiments, they helped shape the visual language and conceptual depth of the final portrait pieces, particularly in how text could both disrupt and enhance the painted surface. These works highlight process as an essential part of artistic development.
